Our professor in International Management and Logistic Management gave us instruction to have a company tour for us to feel the actual manufacturing, packaging and their operation. SP Mamplasan Packaging gave us an opportunity to see how boxes are made, with dedication and pure competency their boxes were able to meet global and they are trusted by their international affiliates.

We saw how the company secure and assure quality performance through quality product. According to Sir Romy, the Plant Manager of SP Mamplasan "The packaging speaks for itself, you have to appreciate the boxes and the packaging, for you to love the actual product".

The tour gave us a hint of actual industry and hands on experience of what are the operation and how boxes are made, it seems to be easy but seeing the actual production you might think again because from acquiring, assessment and evaluation of the raw material up to evaluation and assessment of the finished goods is way to heavy but because they do have a good management and fast phased technology they were able to do it.

The company is keep on growing and as a student i saw that their will be greater heights of success for them. It is not just a box or a packaging but a piece of art, an art with heart of security for product and assurance of soul of the company.

Our Team With Sir Romy of SP Mamplasan Packaging

From Biñan, Laguna we went to Canlubang Industrial Site,Calamba, Laguna. We students were able to meet Sir Dario, the Logistic Manager of San Miguel Brewery, Inc in Canlubang. He is very hospitable and easy to get along but in term of operation and professional work he is a professional in deed. He gave us hint and instructions of how San Miguel were able to meet international, he gave us view points of what are the actual business operation in logistic and procurement.

San Miguel Beer products have consistently dominated the market for beer in the Philippines, the country's largest alcoholic beverage segment. Despite its dominant market position, SMB continues to find new ways to grow further its volumes and its market share in the Philippine beverage industry.

He said "You have to be fast because the industry is growing, if the delivery is slow possible costumer change it phase and find someone else. Logistic do have a domino effect, if you aren't able to meet the deadline - checkmate, so you have to be fast"
